Item 8.01 Other Events.

 

On October 30, 2020, Trevena, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that oliceridine has been classified as a Schedule II controlled substance by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (the “DEA”). With DEA scheduling now complete, the Company expects to make OLINVYK™ (oliceridine) injection available for distribution in November. The Company also announced that it had cash and cash equivalents of $112.7 million as of September 30, 2020. A copy of the press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference.
